Leo's Korean Beef Stir Fry

1 tbsp gochujang
3 tbsp light soy sauce
2 tsp raw sugar
1 tbsp corn syrup
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp minced ginger
2 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp water
½ onion, thinly sliced
400g beef
Veg of choice
1 tsp cornflour
Marinate beef in sauce for at least 30 mins or overnight if it is a tough cut of beef. Fry onions in oil until a little charred.
Add meat and sear. Combine gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, corn syrup, garlic and onion powder, minced ginger, sesame oil and water and then add sauce to the pan.
Add vegetables and allow to simmer for 10 mins. Add 1 tsp cornflour to thicken the sauce prior to serving. Serve with rice.
